Become a drone cleaning pilot at OPPY
We are looking for drone pilots, and for window and facade cleaners who want to make the switch. You clean facades, glass and solar panels with a drone while keeping both feet on the ground.
A day on site
You work outdoors, and flying is only part of the day. This is what a job looks like.
Checking the weather
The day starts with the forecast and a wind reading on site. If it is too windy or raining, we don't fly, and the job is rescheduled.
Setting the perimeter
A safety perimeter goes under the drone. You mark it out and agree with the client where people can still walk.
Setting up the water
You connect the purified water system. Reverse osmosis removes the minerals, so facades and glass dry without lime spots.
Flying and cleaning
You clean the building zone by zone, with one eye on the drone and one on what is happening below.
The debrief
After the flight you write up the job, with after photos and findings, on the platform. That report is what the client sees.
Who we are looking for
A driving licence
Sites are spread out and you get there yourself.
Physical fitness
You work outdoors in every season, and you carry and set up equipment. A fear of heights is no problem: you stay on the ground.

You learn to work with our drones, the water system and our products, first with a mentor and then on your own.
Equipment
The drones and the complete cleaning set-up are provided by OPPY.

You fly on real jobs alongside an experienced OPPY pilot.

Questions from candidates
I'm a window cleaner and have never flown a drone. Can I apply?
Yes. You know how glass and facades get dirty, how to set up a safe work area and how to deal with clients on site, and that is a large part of this job. Flying and our cleaning system are covered in the training. You will still need the EU drone certificate before you fly on your own.
